Perunica is a Pagan Black metal band from Plock in Poland, formed in 2000. Triumf Odwiecznych Prawd is their only full length so far, recorded in 2003 but released in 2007. Their main lyrical theme is Slavonic Paganism. Their style is melancholic and slow, and might in some parts remind you of doom metal, but the pagan metal sound is still prominent on this album. Actually they might sound a bit too generic at some points, the songs sounds similar to each other and there is nothing innovative about this album, but I guess that is how it is supposed to be with these bands. The vocals may be in my opinion the best part of this album, he manages to keep the raw sound of the screaming while he still has a clean style. As an atmospheric soundtrack this album works pretty good, it is slow and monotone and has the typical pagan metal atmosphere.
