This album is a concept album based on a late 13th century Icelandic manuscript, the counterpart of the German medieval Nibeungen epic. Musically this is a combination of classic pagan black metal and more epic melodic metal, the music is really good played, the vocal though (screaming) seems a bit too ordinary and heading somewhat to more melodic genres.
Overall this is a good album, not as good as CoW but they still manage to impress.
